C\u2019est en 1881, lors de la premi\u00e8re Convention nationale des Acadiens tenue \u00e0 Memramcook, au Nouveau-Brunswick, que la d\u00e9cision a \u00e9t\u00e9 prise d\u2019adopter une f\u00eate nationale afin de reconna\u00eetre le caract\u00e8re distinct du peuple acadien. Plus d\u2019un si\u00e8cle plus tard, les gouvernements f\u00e9d\u00e9ral et provincial ont adopt\u00e9 des lois pour appuyer la journ\u00e9e de la f\u00eate des acadiens et des acadiennes en\u00a02003<\/a>\u00a0et en\u00a02004<\/a>\u00a0respectivement.<\/p>\n

La culture acadienne est mise \u00e0 l\u2019honneur \u00e0 longueur d\u2019ann\u00e9e au minist\u00e8re des Communaut\u00e9s, de la Culture et du Patrimoine. Par le truchement de programmes, de services, de ressources et de lieux patrimoniaux, le Minist\u00e8re travaille sans cesse pour repr\u00e9senter les int\u00e9r\u00eats des collectivit\u00e9s acadiennes et rendre hommage \u00e0 leur patrimoine.<\/p>\n

Aux\u00a0Affaires acadiennes<\/a>, le personnel contribue \u00e0 la pr\u00e9servation et \u00e0 l\u2019essor des collectivit\u00e9s acadiennes et francophones de la province en conseillant le gouvernement et en l\u2019appuyant dans ses efforts en vue d\u2019offrir des services en fran\u00e7ais. Il g\u00e8re \u00e9galement le\u00a0Fonds communautaire Vive l\u2019Acadie<\/a>. Cr\u00e9\u00e9 par les dons recueillis dans le cadre du\u00a0programme de la plaque d’immatriculation avec le drapeau acadien<\/a>, le Fonds communautaire Vive l\u2019Acadie sert \u00e0 appuyer des projets culturels con\u00e7us pour contribuer \u00e0 la vie sociale, \u00e9conomique, \u00e9ducative et spirituelle des communaut\u00e9s acadiennes et francophones.<\/p>\n
